Always rooting for the underdog
I come from a family of attorneys. This includes my father, brother and sister. It’s always been in my blood. I chose the path of criminal defense because I enjoy helping people. I’m always rooting for the underdog.
I get a good sense of satisfaction when I actually help somebody – ease their fears and anxiety. When clients work with me, they always tell me they feel better. My legal practice focuses on giving the accused in Colorado a future and restoring their confidence.
My clients understand I will fight for them, but I won’t pull any punches when it comes to answering questions about their situations. I work to manage expectations by giving them a point of view on the facts they present. They have their own biases, but I give them the perspective of how they will be perceived in court. An informed client learns they have the power to make decisions for themselves. I just supply them with sound options and legal counsel that will guide them through the process.
With more than 23 years of experience, I am a seasoned, skilled defense lawyer. My practice handles both misdemeanor and felony cases ranging from DUI to sexual assault. I stand behind the legally granted ideal that my clients are innocent until proven guilty. Whether or not you did the crime, the most important thing is to hold your head up high and be confident.
When I’m not defending the clients against the state, I am married to a pediatrician and a father of two daughters. I gain perspective on your case by having a family of my own, because you may feel embarrassed or that you let down your family. My approach will help you manage those fears and focus on what’s important: defending yourself.
